Who looks after your details

This notice covers 5sensesromania.com, the website of 5 Senses Romania, a small shop in Sibiu, Romania selling handmade household goods. When we say "we" or "the shop" we mean 5 Senses Romania. You can reach us about anything on this page at [email protected].

What the enquiry form gathers, and why

On the order enquiry page we ask you for a name, an email address to reply to, the collection you are interested in, the country the parcel would go to and your message. We use those details for one purpose only: to answer your enquiry, quote the cost of sending, and, if you decide to buy, to arrange the order with you. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not send newsletters.

Pressing the send button hands your letter to a third-party form-relay service; it converts the form into an email for our Sibiu mailbox and handles what you wrote solely for that delivery. After that the message sits in our mailbox, and we keep correspondence about orders for as long as we need it to deal with the order, any return and our accounting duties, then delete it. Enquiries that come to nothing are cleared out periodically.

Cookies and the consent preference

Our pages place no cookies. On a first visit, a small card asks for your preference about analytics and performance measurement. Whatever you choose is saved as a single entry in your own browser's local storage, under the name fsr_consent_v1, so the card does not ask again. Nothing else on the site reads that entry today.

At launch the site carries no measurement, advertising or tracking scripts at all, so accepting measures nothing. Should we ever add one, this notice changes first, and it would stay off for anyone who left the analytics switch down. To change your mind, clear this site's stored data in your browser settings and the card will reappear.

The only outside service the pages load is a web font provider, which supplies the two typefaces the site is set in. Your browser fetches the font files directly from it, as it does for any website using hosted fonts.

Selling and sharing

We never sell, rent or trade the details you send us. We share them only where we must to fulfil an order you have asked for, such as giving a delivery name and address to the postal service carrying your parcel.

Your rights

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, data protection law gives you the right to see what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to receive it in a portable form, and to object to how we use it. You may also complain to your national data protection authority; in Romania that is the national supervisory authority for personal data processing.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we hold, to ask us to delete it, to opt out of its sale (we do not sell any), and to receive the same service whether or not you exercise any of them.

For any of these requests, write to [email protected] from the address you used with us, say what you would like done, and we will answer within one month.

Children

The site is meant for adults buying for their homes. We do not knowingly take enquiries from children.
